Default Do you push in this spot?

4/180 Final Table 8 players left. Should I push or just try and wait it out for a better hand? I know it's +cEV to push but is it +$EV?

Maybe 1 in a 100, if players to my left are extremely weak and short. Given that they all have you covered, this is an easy fold.

Also this is a hand that sort of hurt me. My dad says I shouldn't have played it (he likes watching me play) but I think he's being a results oriented nit. This is during the FT bubble.

CO (t9790)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
<font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to t2400</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, SB calls t1800, Hero calls t1200.

Of course I looked at your stack. That's not even close to the primary consideration in this situation.

You have one of the poorest hands available (unsuited two gapper). There are three players yet to act. The other two short stacks are going to hit the blinds before you.

But you want to consider pushing knowing full well that you are seriously dominated by anyone who calls. No thanks.

I lay this down almost 100% of the time unless I'm very very certain that players yet to act are so weak that I'm almost surely going to get 3 folds.

But the small stacks have held onto their dear life for the entire top 18. They weren't pushing to steal the blinds and such, so them getting eliminated wasn't my top concern. Thank you for your opinion though. I hate this pushing to steal the blinds stuff. It never seems to work out, or at least I remember the times it doesn't.
