Default NL600 Maniac bluffer shows... how to handle him in the future?

3/6 NL (Bodog hand history so it sux)

Villian has about 550
I have him covered with about 700.

I've played with this guy before and he usually comes in short (about 250-300ish).

He limps from MP I raise from the BB with AA to 24 he calls.
Flop comes 962 two suited. I bet the pot for 50 he calls.
Turn comes 9 I bet 75 he calls (friend says I should have checked here).
River comes J for 3 flush I bet 100 he pushes for 450.

I fold instantly and he shows KQ no draw. How should I handle this maniac in the future?

Play your strong hands the same way. Don't go on tilt and go broke to him on Top pair or less. That's the mistake most people make and thus lose their stacks to maniacs when they hit a strong hand.

OOP with big pairs, i'll plan to cbet, the c/c twice alot.
If he's a big bluffers represent whiffed hand/overpair that worried and let him make bad choices.

In position, you can bet flop, check turn, then call or raise river depending on situation. This is also player, you can check flop, call turn, and call or raise river a lot depending on situation.

Basically, against this guy, you're goal is to get two post flop bets out of him when he has nothing by how you play him.

Don't you have to be willing to sometimes risk your stack with TP vs a maniac, especially if he's at all thinking. Otherwise he'll just run over you and then fold when you finally play back with the monster you waited around for.
