I would limp here. It still leaves you with 14xBB if you miss your set.

hmm... limping doesn't seem so bad.

what about a limp/RR or limp/call or limp/SNG or limp/fold depending on the raiser? by this time you should have at least 20-30 hands on the raiser, which of course isn't all that reliable, but may give you a ballpark of his range.

i dunno, i think i fold this a lot because my chipstack is very awkward. with more chips i raise, with less chips i push.

Like anyone who's played a ton of these SNGs, I've dealt with this situation quite a bit. From my experience, I honestly don't know if the blinds are worth denting my stack here, when I'm just about to flip the switch and start playing push / fold poker.

Every chip I lose now is two chips the first time I double up. With two bigstacks who could call and have position on me, the probability of flopping a hand where I know where I stand is pretty low. And raising to 125 on a 22 creates a pretty high likelihood of getting a caller, or even two because of the pot odds created when it comes around to the blinds.

I just don't know if I'm giving much up here by folding.

Then fold

btw, I've been noticing that my lvl 2 raises to 75 and my lvl 3 raises to 125 have been generating lots of folds lately. It's probably just in my head though.

Well, we must be doing a good job of accidentally avoiding each others' tables, cuz my raises to 125 have been getting called quite a bit.

BTW, I'm not saying that I'm positive that folding is correct (hence the post), just giving my reasoning. (Or my rationalization so that I don't feel like a total [censored] for folding.)

Make it 125-150! Remember, it's not just denting your stack trying to win the small blinds, it's raising for value with what rates to be the best hand as well.
