JJ - Do I need to keep raising?
UTG read was 38%/13%/0.90%, typical LAG but was tentative post flop usually.
Party Poker Limit Holdem Ring game Limit: $0.50/$1 8 players Converter Pre-flop: (8 players) hero is UTG+1 with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG raises, hero 3-bets, 6 folds, UTG caps, hero calls. Flop: 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (9.5SB, 2 players) UTG bets, hero calls. Turn: 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5.75BB, 2 players) UTG bets, hero calls. River: 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (7.75BB, 2 players) UTG checks, hero checks. Results: Final pot: 7.75BB Looking back at this, I tend to think that I needed to press the action on all three streets. Not quite sure my thinking at the time, but I believe I was tentative because of his table image of slowing down after the flop? |

Re: JJ - Do I need to keep raising?
You must find a raise somewhere.
I'd do it on the flop, because if he has overcards the turn will likely go check/call. |

What had you seen him cap pre-flop with? What had villain done when people played back at him? If you think he is full of crap but will fold to a raise then calling down is fine except for the river. The next time an aggro villain bets every streat and checks the river, bet into him. |

Re: JJ - Do I need to keep raising?
I don't like it.
I raise the flop. If it's 3-bet, I'll go into call-down mode. The way you played it, I'd have bet the river when checked to. |

Re: JJ - Do I need to keep raising?
genltemen (and secretive ladies),
villain's pfr is 13% (not very LAGgy, btw) and he is utg. i don't think his capping range is much larger than aa/kk/qq/jj/ak. thus, we are ahead of 16 hands that have 6 outs against us, tied with 1 hand, and behind 18 hands that we have 2 outs against. semi-ahead/way behind. i don't think there's much to be gained by raising anywhere. raising just lets AK off the hook while getting us 3bet by a bigger PP. |

Re: JJ - Do I need to keep raising?
A 13% preflop raise percentage is only 4 hands?
