Default 200NL, jacks OOP. good or bad river?

Villain has been fairly active. VPIP probably around 40% or so, as is mine. I've seen him play about 20 hands or so, going to showdown with more than a few hands.

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $1/$2
5 players

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is UTG with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
<font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $8</font>, CO calls, 3 folds.

Flop: 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($19, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $12</font>, CO calls.

Turn: T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($43, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $30</font>, CO calls.

River: 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($103, 2 players)
Hero checks, <font color="#cc0000">CO bets $103</font>

Hero?

i always call this and lose for some reason, so with my experience i'd say fold. also, bet the river.

any reason for believing you're hand isn't good on the river? the check on the river is just asking to be betted at - that brings me up to his possible hand range here - this could easily be whiffed spades or spade/t - I doubt he c/c's the 2 first streets on a set here - so enless he floated you with 45 or As3s here you're looking good, I lead towards betting this river.

holla

AA

Given reads, the only reason I see not to pot-pot-shove is to induce a river bluff. Well you induced one, now call?

<font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $206</font>, <font color="#cc0000">CO calls all-in $61.4</font>.

CO shows 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and MHING.

I guess I got what I wanted with him betting the river. Unfortunately, he hit. Should I have made a larger bet on the turn to suss out an over pair to my jacks and to discourage this type of chase?

Bet a little more on flop, turn bet is good. Bet just over 1/2 pot on river/fold to raise.

For just over 50bb eff stacks just get it in then.

Stack sizes would help here. I bet the river, nothing scary is hitting and I don't want him to check behind his top pair. I'm folding if he comes over the top, but I doubt that happens.
