Default JJ, top set/scary flop

I'm a total NL newbie, so be as brutal as necessary.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em (NL$25) (10 handed) link

Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 folds, UTG+1 raises to $1.00, 7 folds, Hero calls $0.75.

Flop: ($2.10) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $2.00, Hero calls $2.00.

Turn: ($6.10) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 checks.

River: ($6.10) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $4.00, UTG+1 folds.

Final Pot: $10.10

This flop sucks. Your flop play is fine. I think you need to bet about $5 on this turn and if you are raised highly consider folding.

River is fine.

Raise the flop.

Heads up, it's rare you're beaten here. Just because there's a few hands out there that can beat you doesn't mean villain has them.

Raise the flop for sure! He can have AA KK QQ AK AQ

In these hands only AKs and AQs beat you, but each can outdraw you with one diamond in his hand, and he might call you for a big amount with AK AQ (with one diamond in each both hand). And you will stack you opponent if he have AA KK QQ with one diamond.

raise flop and bet turn

Thanks all for the advice. I think up to now, I've been playing with a bit too much fear of being stacked (I'm sure I'll get over this after a few thousand NL hands). If I raise the flop a reasonable amount and he pushes, should it be an automatic call? (I had about $30 to start the hand, and villain had me covered.)

I dont respect enough my weak lowlimit opponents to fold with a so drawable flop like that with a hand so strong.

Villain is opening to 4xbb from utg+1 in ten handed game. Your hand is very strong on this flop vs a normal utg+1 range and should be played as such.

I pot every street with the intention of going all in. You beat so much here.
