Default Borgata Add-On Tourneys

I'm going to AC on Columbus Day weekend and would like to play in some tourneys. I want to play at the Borgata but saw on their site that most of them have add-ons. Do most people buy the add-on during these tourneys? Is it a necessary evil?

Thanks in advance.

Played last weekend. Most people do buy the add-on. Blinds move fast, so it pretty much is necessary unless you've gone on some wild heater and already have a ton of chips.

The Borgata tourneys in general have a much better structure than other AC tournaments. Once you take the add-on, you have 10K chips and the rake >10%, although the weekend tournaments with 30 minute levels are better.

I have always taken the add-on in these tournament, although I would consider not taking it if my stack was huge (>30K). I would estimate that about 3/4 of the players take it (assuming they are still in it after an hour).

I was at one two weeks ago, the addon seemed like a good deal since I had an average sized stack.
