Seeing your favorite teams ... at home and on the road
I was thinking the other night that I'm close to seeing all four of my favorite teams (the four major sports) both at home and on the road. This is not so easy for me, as three of my four favorites are in cities far away from Seattle.
So has anyone completed the cycle? Here's mine so far: Baseball: Montreal Expos Have seen games in Montreal, Colorado and Seattle (now need to see the Washington Nationals home and away, I guess) Football: Miami Dolphins Saw them when they beat the Seahawks in the playoffs in 1999 or 2000. Have not seen them in Miami. Basketball: Portland Trailblazers Have seen several games in Portland and have seen them in Seattle. Hockey: Montreal Canadiens Saw them in Montreal. Should make it to Vancouver next time they play there to get this one done as well. So I've got two games to finish my cycle. How many do you have? |

lol.
They played in the playoffs following the 1999 season, the Dolphins won and then got crushed by Jacksonville 62-7 the next week. Jimmy Johnson retired and the Dolphins promoted Dave Wannstedt to Head Coach. I am still amused when I think of a team giving up 62 points in an NFL playoff game and then promoting their Defensive Coordinator to Head Coach. |

I was on such a high after that Seahawks game -- not that I honestly thought the Dolphins had a team that could win the SB, but God, I really wanted Marino to get a ring. The next week was pure torture. |

Re: Seeing your favorite teams ... at home and on the road
I have seen the Cubs play at home and multiple road sites.
I have seen the Indiana Hoosiers play at home, at Northwestern, and at 3 neutral courts, including an NCAA cahmpionship game. I have Colts season tickets, but I have not been to a road game yet. I have seen the Pacers at Market Square Area, Conseco fieldhouse and on the road at the United Center in Chicago. |

I need to see the Washington Nationals home [/ QUOTE ] Dude, you're not missing much. Wait till they get a new stadium. RFK is a [censored]hole. <-- And this is coming from a Mets fan who has to deal with Shea. I've seen all my teams home/away, but it was pretty easy for me after I moved to DC after college: Jets (Giant Stadium, Fedex) Rangers (MSG, NJ, DC) Mets (Shea, DC) I dislike the NBA but I've also seen Knicks games in MSG & DC. |
