Default Canadian players on Party, i need some advices!

Here's the deal,

I simply want to know what is the best cashout option available, the one where the exchange rate is not atrocious.

Thing is, my Neteller account is set up in CND currency. I think they gave me something like 1.08 when XE.com was at 1.12 or something.

Anyway, i'm looking for your answers...

thanks a lot..

.fs.

I'm not normally one to give out free advices......but you could try switching your neteller account to American dollars. I was having the same problem in that neteller was raping me with exchange fees. I phoned them and I had to use a new email address but there was no problem in the switch. Only thing to be carefull about is if your old account is still linked at other sites (I had a problem with this at Pacific) so you will just need to check before withdrawing that the account number is correct.

My Neteller account is in US funds and that seems to work well.

Back when I made my initial withdrawl I asked Neteller to deposit into my Bank of Montreal "US funds account". They said they could only deposit in Canadian funds to a Canadian and they did indeed try to rape me on the exchange. So I settled for a snail mail cheque which usually arrives in 3 or 4 days. I asked where the cheque was coming from. They said Chicago. I asked where headquarters was. They said Calgary. So I phone a Calgary based company to request a US funds cheque to be sent from Chicago to my residence in Winnipeg. Than I drive to B of M and deposit the cash in my US funds account. Than I phone B of M and speak to a phone rep (in Calgary) to have the money exchanged to Canadian funds at the lowest exchange rate I've found yet. Then I drive up to an instat teller withdraw the Canadian funds in cash, buy a box of beer and play more poker. These are the ironic circles of life I suppose.

Check out XEtrade if you're exchanging significant sums of money.

Party gives a very fair exchange rate on Electronic Transfer.

I would also recommend getting cheques mailed. The bank will HOLD them up for 21 business days however. But normally you can lock the money in a GIC and get interest while it waits to clear.

This is going to continue to haunt you if you do not change it as soon as possible. You are paying a 1.9% transaction fee everytime you move your money from Neteller to a poker site (and likewise when you return the money to your Neteller acct.).

There have been threads about this subject in the past where people have claimed that you can contact Neteller and have them change the currency of your accout.

Finally, as you've already read in previous posts, make all withdrawals via Party (or Empire's) EFT for Canadian Accounts. Their exchange rate is better than the posted rate so you will actually make a few extra dollars.

I us Neteller and stay with US$. I get it sent out in US currency and convert it at the bank. Have not really researched any other implications but think I get decent exchange at bank. Also have a US$ account at the bank.
