Default 6-max hands useful for a full ring player?

I just made the transition from limit to no limit and I'm just a novice here so excuse me if this has been covered somewhere. I read all the stickies.

Basically, would it be a good idea to read 6-max hands that are posted here even though I play full ring? I know the same basic reasoning applies to both of them but there are differences also. Could it hurt my full ring game and make me too agressive etc.? Should I concentrate in the beginning on only full ring hands or does it matter?

Thanks, sorry and everything in the between.

This is from someone who hasn't played FR since early limit days, so I'm most likley FOS - so keeping in mind the following is poor advice (just posting this so someone can correct me):

The approach to selective agression is the same whether FR or 6-max. However, applying 6-max thinking will definitely make you too aggressive because you will make assumptions about the hands that players hold that are not true. Full ring players will generally hold stronger hands. You also have to be very very tight in FR from early position and even MP and MP+1.

The other issue you must be very wary of number of players in the pot. Hands play completely different when they are multiway vs HU or 3-way as is the norm with 6-max.

Your best bet would be to ditch FR

Read 6-max hands as if it were FR where UTG-MP1 have folded and you'll be fine.
