So I\'m playing a HU match next week...
with a friend from my school. We're actually playing a best of five series of HORSE matches kinda for just $100 or so. Anyway, this guy has beaten 30/60 shorthanded on party for a pretty good clip.
As for me, I have little to no experience at limit or HU limit obv. I feel like I'm at a huge disadvantage for the Limit HU game we're going to play. Any general pointers for a limit HU match against an opponent who I assume is quite aggro? |

don't play him.
Play someone that you're a fav against for $100. Then have your friend review your play. |

Re: So I\'m playing a HU match next week...
If he's playing a friend, obviously it seems like the 100 bucks isn't a big deal, and also he might be favored in the other games. So this advice seems pretty bad. My advice is if you're not to familar with limit or HU would be:
1. Raise your top 75% or so hands out of the SB (button) 2. Raise or reraise your top 10% hands, plus some suited connectors out of the bb. 3. Play aggressively post flop but not stupid, pairs and any resemblence of a draw like over cards with a gut buster or backdoor flush types. |

fair enough.
set up your bluffs by taking a bet/call bet/call valuebetting line with top pair. |

Re: So I\'m playing a HU match next week...
we're also playing a pot limit hold em match instead of the stud 8 match, so that pretty much evens out the playing field...
