Bicycle Nooner Nites
I am thinking about playing in this tonight. Any details on the game, such as:
Is buy-in what is posted on website? $50+10 and one rebuy. Number of players usually? Fast or reasonable structure? Time to complete? Side game action following the tourney? Is early registration necessary? Any info is greatly appreciated. |

[/ QUOTE ] Just depends. I have seen as many as 200 and as few as 40. Normal is about 90-120. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Fast or reasonable structure? [/ QUOTE ] Fast, but much better than the dailys at HP, CP, etc. [ QUOTE ] Time to complete? [/ QUOTE ] Usually 4-5 hours. [ QUOTE ] Side game action following the tourney? [/ QUOTE ] You are joking right? This is the 2nd largest card room in Los Angeles. Games run 24/7. [ QUOTE ] Is early registration necessary? [/ QUOTE ] No, but it does behoove you to arrive a little early. I like to arrive 1-2 hours early and sit in the bar and watch sports and drink beer. Relaxes me quite a bit. [ QUOTE ] Any info is greatly appreciated. [/ QUOTE ] Due to the structure and chip stacks, play very tight and most of the time watch donks hand you their money. If you go card dead for more than one level, expect to get severly short stacked. |

Re: Bicycle Nooner Nites
Card dead for more than one level? Try two hours. I had AJo once UTG, T9s once, pocket 3s utg with 1000 at 50-100 blinds, and pocket 8s 2 from utg with big raise from a straightforward player UTG in the first ante round with same stack. Of course I pushed and faced KK and was out. Other than those hands, I had total garbage and a very aggressive table with no bluff opportunities. I liked the tourney setup though. In the current world of 25% entry fees, I welcomed the 10% after mandatory rebuy.
