Default Texas vs. North Texas Sept 2

I'm new to this.

Obviously North Texas has pretty much no chance. But right now the line on the game seems pretty crazy to me, although maybe it's standard for the first game of the season where a very strong team wants to prepare for the tough games later on.

North Texas at +41? I just cannot see, as large as the skill differential is, Texas winning this game by six touchdowns more than 50% of the time. So am I completely off-base here that a line like this is pretty unusual, or is it standard for certain NCAA games?

You'll see some [censored] up lines for college football. Even games like Louisville/Kentucky are 3 touchdown spreads.

dude, texas are the national champs!!1 they could win this by 8 or 9 touchdowns easy. of course mack is a good ole boy and he'll keep it respectable and not embarras anybody. it won't go over 5 touchdowns probably.

Longhorn Season Openers

05- louisianna lafeyette 60-3
04- North Texas- 65-0
03- New Mexico State 66-7

Mack is the kind of guy that wouldn't try and run up the score against Hitler himself, but the fact that he recruits an NFL team pretty much means Texas can run the ball down the throats of [censored] teams with their backups, and special teams and defense will score some points. Not to mention this year, Texas will be working in two freshman QB's. There definitely will be passing once the game is out of hand. Not bombs down the field, but Jevean Sneed isn't going to get screwed into handing the ball off the whole 3rd and 4th. If you go North Texas, it's gotta be because you think the UT offense will spudder for a good part of the 1st half with the new QB's. North Texas also plays terribly out of conference as they really only care about the sunbelt games. It's a no bet for me as I think there is some reigning champ vig based in here, but a lean with the Longhorns.

I had the same thought at first, but I have since changed my mind and now I'm not playing this. If I did though, I'd lean toward Texas -41.
