Default Where has all the 50/100NL gone on UB?

Some random thoughts on HS NL

Is it my imagination or has the action for 50/100NL on UB dried up lately? Are people migrating to other sites or is HS NL fading a bit? I see Full Tilt spreads 100/200NL, but I do not see it played that much.

Also, a few thoughts/questions:

- why the 100bb buy in limit on most sites?
- any chance we will see an ante game soon?

Thanks in advance.

PFM

i was looking for some action, and it seemed like $50/100 NL is dead everywhere. which is surprising because a year ago there would be three 10 handed games going on UB often.

Is that true? But Stars and Party don't spread the higher stakes, or am I missing something?

people are getting smarter. it is the same guys beating the 50/100nl+ games across thie different sites, and by this point, most of them are pretty well known by the other medium and highstakes pros. these guys have stopped taking their shots, and there are also less random fish in the games it seems (i think they are playing PLO or not playing at all).

on UB, ill check the PLO tab, and see the same fish that I used to play 50/100nl with playing 2-3 tables of PLO (and by fish it is usually just live pro's that can't beat internet NL).

it kinda sucks, but there is usually some action at FTP, stars, or party.

Thanks Taylor, always an intelligent post when you are involved! So what's the plan, learn PLO? This has to be a fear of the internet breed: how long will random people keep losing money before they run out or give up?

It is my hopes that when this "world poker tour" generation grows up, there will be an influx of wealthy business men into the game who spent their youth watching nl holdem on tv and playing with their friends and now that they're worth 20 million, they can start taking shots into the 10 thousand buyin games just like they always wanted to.

only time will tell though i guess

I think there are plenty of wealthy people around, but my worry is that they have lost all their money to the consistent winners and no longer see any hope of winning, so no longer have much fun and have moved back to lower stakes and tournaments. I guess we have to wait for 10 years, but by then the feds may have shut us down!
