Default Best cards?

Is there a certain brand of cards that is the best for home game use. I'm not looking to spend tons of money, but I would like quality cards.

Definitely a quality set of plastic cards. Will last for years. Dal Negro or Modiano are excellent choices. The top chosen brands are Copag and Kem however. But the Dal Negro and Modiano usually get better reviews. You can find 2 deck setups for around $15.

KEM - Best, expensive

Copag - Still nice, not as expensive

Does NO ONE who is new to 2+2 know how to search the internet? How did you find out about THIS place?

Sorry to pick on you, but people DO need to spend a little effort looking for themselves...

My bad man. Right after I posted that, I realized how easy it would be to google it and I found the websites for all of them.

I dealt dollar store packs at my home game for the first year. What with my now stellar reputation for honest cards I've turned to re-using the same 6 decks of copags over and over. I LOVE THESE CARDS. 8 hour games and they still slide like butter. Not a mark on the little buggers. I'm getting a woody just typing this!!!

I've been using (2) 2-deck boxes of KEMs since January and they are excellent. They last, clean up easily, shuffle well, don't crease or dogear, and people love them. I think games on race track or other larger tables should go for the oversized pips, as they are easy to see from the other end of the table.

Don't use your good plastic cards on non-fabric/felt surfaces, I scratched a card on the dining room table.
