Default 11-flush draw?

First hand of the tourny. I'm pretty sure you have to fold here but the pot odds and numerous outs make it tempting.

smoth call.. if you dont hit.. then probly fold after raise on turn, even if you lose this pot its still early, so you can recover easly, but if you hit you might make lots.. since hes probly bettin two pair or even best a smaller flush.. which i doubt given his bet

Easiest fold ever preflop. I'd probably fold the flop. Odds are only hearts help you and you've only invested 40.

problem is stack sizes are awkward here, i think i'd lay it down after he overbets because on such a draw heavy board he's probably trying to protect a made hand that doesn't like the connectedness (like 2 pair or set)

Durron, you'd advocate playing weak, suited aces to the average player? They're usually a lot of trouble, and the average player would be best off just avoiding them. I know I can get away from a top pair, but I don't go out of my way to make hard decisions for myself with Ax.

Well you might have implied to call to the turn. I might do that sometimes. It depends on the opponent. Would he be willing to lay down 2 pair, set, straight? Don't forget your implied. But also don't overvalue your implied. Good players can easily lay down hands on scary boards early.

I think his point is that there's no standard to fold this pre-flop. Good post-flop players limp here a lot. It's generally a great spot to accumulate.

At this stage you can go ahead and fold, you don't have the implied or pot odds to call... imho. Early, I think we can find a better spot to pick up some chips.
