At risk of becoming a laughing stock of the board, isn't this cheating?
In rebuy tournaments on Party Poker, people have been rebuying when they move all in, dispite the fact they actually have >3K of live chips in the pot. When they move all-in, their "chip count" is temporarilly 0, and the site is letting them buy another 3k of chips. It seems to me the rule is supposed to be you cannot rebuy unless you have less than 3K of chips, and this is just a bug that is being taken advantage of. How can this be fair? If you have enough money, you should just rebuy 100 times so you have such a massive stack you are almost garunteed to place in the money. Just make sure you move all-in against a baby stack so you don't lose much if he decides to call you. 5025452613: Re-buy: woodo7 re-buys 3000 chips and the chip stack increases from 12100 chips to 15100 chips. 5025485120: Re-buy: woodo7 re-buys 3000 chips and the chip stack increases from 9030 chips to 12030 chips. 5025491189: Re-buy: woodo7 re-buys 3000 chips and the chip stack increases from 12150 chips to 15150 chips. 5025497099: Re-buy: woodo7 re-buys 3000 chips and the chip stack increases from 15290 chips to 18290 chips. 5025519580: Re-buy: BeeHolder re-buys 3000 chips and the chip stack increases from 6085 chips to 9085 chips. 5025551270: Re-buy: woodo7 re-buys 3000 chips and the chip stack increases from 14741 chips to 17741 chips. 5025555564: Re-buy: woodo7 re-buys 3000 chips and the chip stack increases from 17891 chips to 20891 chips. 5025615091: Re-buy: woodo7 re-buys 3000 chips and the chip stack increases from 22794 chips to 25794 chips. |

Since anyone can do it and it is part of Party's software, it is not cheating.

Now this is funny. Support replied that they realize that this is what the rule is, and that this is what the players are supposed to be doing, but "that's not the way the software works." They then go on to say that this is so players don't have to miss a hand if they bust out, but that's nonsense since the system pauses and gives any player that busts out 30 seconds to decide if they want to rebuy or not.
Basically they are saying, we know this is a bug, we know these players are breaking the rules, but, oh well, our software vender didn't get it right so them's the breaks. |

..the obvious thing to do is push all-in against any baby stack that dares to call and be in a pot with you, and rebuy. More than likely they will chicken out and fold, and you'll get their money plus the rebuy, and if you lose, you'll still get more in the end than you started with.

If they're going allin every hand to do it, they're taking a risk that they might get called, preferably by me with TT+, AK. |

It's absolutely a bug with PP's software. I was going to say that I'm shocked a multi-billion dollar company would have such a bug, but it's PP so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
I don't think you can fault the players for using the incorrect rebuy rule to their advantage especially since it's available to everyone. |

It is not a bug, it is a feature
