Default 40-80 Hollywood Park

Villian is a smart thinking player. He respects my game and i his. He is running bad and i am running well.
Hero UTG -AKo 2 bets...2 callers, Villian cold calls on button.
Flop Kh 5c 4c i have no club.
i bet, all muck to villian who raises, i 3 bet, he calls.
Turn 3s i bet, he raises, i 3 bet???? Like it or no?

All depending on what you are going to do on a club river. I expect check and call. I generally bet and call down on this turn

Way too much action for top pair on that coordinated of a board. I call down in these spots without a really strong read(unless the clubbie hits the river). Against most live action players you are drawing dead.

I think the best case seranio for your hand is the villan semi-bluffing a big draw. Something like 8c6c.

Why did you raise the turn? What do you think he has?

i had the player on an ak or big pp type hand.....i didnt think he would call 2 bets cold with 55 or 44....if he caps the turn i guess i have to muck?? After the hand played out i realized the 3rd bet was a lil spewey....As it turned out he showed ak and mucked face up

Why would he not have 55 or 44? There were 2 callers inbetween. I could have 44 or 55. My straight just got there.

He would just call with a big pp here? What, JJ/QQ? Why would he raise those on the turn? What could he put you on that you 3 bet/lead the flop that those hands beat.

villains play doesn't really line up with your read. I think you shouldn't have 3bet.

yeah i was thinking set too..

all these donks saying the villain is going 3-bets on the turn with a club draw are braindead, and if he actually was i'm getting flight tickets now.

I think people are forgetting the possibility of him having KQc , KQ, KJc and so forth. I don't like it, but I don't hate it either. I think another option is donking a non club river like a 9 or a low card that pairs the board. This prevents it from getting checked through.

no. you're behind here most of the time.

Edit: Wow. just read the results. I think at best you are chopping here, and my default would be a call down. However, if this guy lays down AK there, then maybe your 3-bet isn't so bad.
