Fake or Not
I saw this video clip on television and watched it in slow motion and it looked very real to me-
So I show it to Utah on youtube.com (did not tape it on DRV) and he cannot believe it is real. Thoughts? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uj6lxtAkCqo |

Re: Fake or Not
That is insane.
I especially like how afterwards the guys are all celebrating and laughing while the girl is standing there holding the back of her head! |

Re: Fake or Not
Agree that its a fake as per reasons already discussed.
Additionally, how small would she have to be to be able to fit her shoulders through the rim? Seems she would have scraped her upper arms as she squeezed through the hoop. Cool clip nevertheless. |

Re: Fake or Not
I believe the popular opinion has always been that it's fake.

Re: Fake or Not
IIRC there's a point at which her leg should have gotten caught in the net or the rim and didn't. You have to watch it frame by frame to see it.

Re: Fake or Not
i know....but i watched it in slow motion on a 61" screen and it looked like she went through.
I did not see it frame by frame however. |

Re: Fake or Not
I think it's a good editing job. No

Re: Fake or Not
It also appears that in the 2nd picture that the rim is behind her. I would say that they probably did this in front of the hoop since a camera can only see in 2 dimensions and then edited the sound and movement of the net. And at 24-25 seconds you can see the frame skips to them doing something different, which would show that some editting was done. |
