Default take the free card on the turn?

is this how you guys play this flop? What about the turn? I can check behind and call a river bet, or I can lead and build a bigger pot if I hit my straight. Even if I miss, I still have good showdown value. What's your play?

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.50/$1
6 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $397.20
UTG+1: $104.15
CO: $99.35
Button: -
SB: $177.90
Hero: $167.30

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
3 folds, <font color="#cc0000">SB raises to $3</font>, Hero calls.

Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($6.5, 3 players)
<font color="#cc0000">SB bets $5</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $15</font>, Button calls.

Turn: 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($36.5, 3 players)
SB checks, Hero.....

BTW... why is Button acting first? Converter error or something? BTW, I bet turn because it gives opponent a chance to fold, and we can probably check behind on the river unimproved.

Converter is a bit screwy but I am betting this turn (~$23-$28). I am checking behind on river to a non 8, and making a small v-bet if a Q hits river.
