Default Blind Defense checkup A5s

Party $30/60. An unknown raises from the hijack and I call in the BB w/ A5 of hearts. The flop comes down J54 with 2 diamonds and no hearts. I checkraise and the villain 3 bets. I call. Turn is an offsuit T and I check/fold.

Should I be taking a different line in these spots or is this standard?

I think always folding and always calling down here are probably both mistakes. I don't know what the percentages should be, but I would sometimes fold this turn, sometimes call the turn and fold the river and sometimes call the turn and river. The offsuit T is not that bad of a card for you. I think I would peel here, but not necessarily commit myself to a showdown.

Try just check-calling the flop in these spots and reevaluate on the turn.

I fold 80% preflop against unknown in this type of situation.

I think that A5s is just a little too much hand to be folding preflop against an aggro stealer from the hijack. You are going to have to play some hands here or you will get run over.

MORPH - Blind Defense Checkup Ax

OK, how about when unknown open-raises on button and you have A5s or A6o on the SB? Call? 3B (to avoid giving BB 5:1)? What about weaker aces? Slightly stronger Aces (A7, A8)?
