Default Multi-tabling results-for better or good??

i am a mid limit holdem (5/10-15/30) player that usually plays in full games and i have been trying to multitable recently, playing 2-3 tables.
i noticed my results multitabling is not nearly as good as playing a single table, and i think the problem is that it is hard for me to concentrate on 1 table.
i know there are plenty of successful multitablers out there, so how do you guys do it? how do you guys concentrate on 4-8 tables at once?

yes, and you generally will do worse. but it's better to make 1bb/100 at 8 tables than it is to make 3bb/100 at 1.
