Samsung Anycall Phone: Need Help

I bought a Samsung Anycall SGH-x168 without knowing that Anycall was a branch of Samsung that only exists in Asia. The manual is [censored] and doesn't help and they don't seem to have an English website. Here's a pic of the phone:



My main problems are:
1) I don't know how to put it on silent.
2) When it is turned on or off (my current alternative to silent) the most annoying sounds plays, I can't seem to turn it off.
3) When I turn on vibrate and ringtone it vibrates for 30 seconds and then rings intead of doing both at the same time.
4) The ringtones are all high pitched circus songs, completely unbearable. How do I get new ringtones? (this might be a general phone question, never tried this with any phone)
