$25NL 6m: to call, or not to call?

Villain's 40/8/2.1 over 140 hands (most of them from another session). He's definitely not horrible, but he's not great either. We haven't had a real blind battle yet.

This could be anything, really. I think it could be a big pair he decided to slowplay as well.

Standard c-bet/value bet. After he minraises I have to be really worried about a set or a slowplayed overpair, right? I'm not sure, but I don't think he does with top pair. If I do think this is a set or an overpair, should I just fold right here?

Does anyone like betting here? If I get check-raised here again at least I know I'm not good. I think it'll be cheaper to check and call a reasonable river bet, though.

Btw: I don't feel I have to bet to protect against a draw here, he's not playing it like one.

I could've induced a bluff by checking the turn, but this overbet looked so fishy, I just couldn't call here. Anyone call?

Played it great until the river, I would call and expect to see an 8 more often than a bigger overpair/set. I think he'd fire with those again on the turn.

I call but I think I call too much in these spots. You induced a bluff no you have to run with it without a real gud read.
