I never was planning on moving to Maine...
... but if I ever was going to think about it, this just sealed the deal to close the door on the possibility.
 I am pretty sure it's the wolf from Neverending Story - I'm pretty sure I'd been repressing memories of that movie mostly because of that stupid wolf. Here's the news story w/pic
