Default Heads Up section of HoH2

Reading HoH 1 and 2 for the first time as a tournament newbie and it's been very educational.

After hanging around in STT, I've learned about the more mathematical aspects of heads up play (for example, based on the Nash Equilibrium). My question is, has the heads up section of HoH2 been completely superceded in cases of low M?

For example, from HoH2:

"If your opponent just calls and Ms are less than 5, raise all-in with any hand in the top 30% of all hands"

This is likely to be a far more restrictive set than the hands recommended by the Nash Equilibrium (going from the info in the SnG Power Tools tutorial).

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
