the game looks cool. maybe ill throw some money on UB and play. 2nd example is interesting. i could see many people overplaying the straight there.

Never heard of it before, just now read the artical.
He really should point out that the board will either be AKQJT or be paired, thus strategically here is no such thing as a 'straight' and there fore no such thing as a 'connector' pre-flop hand. I haven't done the math, but I doubt his 'marginal' hands are really 'marginal' at all. They look reasonable only if you are sure you can get away from them on the flop, even when you connect with two pair or trips. Against loose folks, playing only the premiums looks obviously correct, unless as I said you can show down your marginal hand cheaply. - Louie |

I downloaded a program called "Poker Stove" that lets me calculate heads up probabilities, but it won't allow me to declare 36 of the cards "dead." Does anyone know of a program that can calculate these odds which applies to Royal Hold 'Em?
