4/8 Live KTs Running Bad
So it's been a while since I've been posting due to work and grad school, but now I'm back kids.
I've been running bad live at 3/6 and 4/8 for the past 4-6 sessions and am starting to worry that I have some serious leaks in my game so I want to go through a hand I played the other night. As background I was running bad again when I had to chop a pot with KK when the board completed a straight and had AA lose to 75o flopping the nuts heads up. So here's the hand: Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with KT[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG calls, 1 fold, Hero calls, 2 folds, MP3 calls, 1 fold, SB folds, BB checks. Flop: (3.00 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img],7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img],6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ( players) BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, MP3 raises, BB folds, UTG folds, Hero calls. Turn: (3.50 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero... Do you guys c/f, c/f, b/c b/f here. Villain is probably about 30-35% VPIP and semi agressive. |

check/call : check/call
If you are sure he won't bluff the river you can check/call : bet/fold. |

Re: 4/8 Live KTs Running Bad
Luckily you are heads up against a LAG, so I want to see a showdown with this hand. Its close between b/c and c/c for me. I might just let him bet our hand for us and hang himself if he's behind, or charge us the minimum if we are ahead. b/f, c/f are out of the question. c/c c/c.
Sorry about running bad. Only just crawled out of a hole myself. The only thing that really works is to just keep playing. It'll turn around. |

Re: 4/8 Live KTs Running Bad
some suits might be helpful? unless i cant see them, but if hes aggressive, i like a c/c, and if hes somewhat passive i like a b/f, so, being that he is inbetween, im torn, but id stick with just checking and calling down and develop my read for next time.
yea, PS, my internet is fed up, so im seeing blanks for the suits, ignore that part of the post. |

Re: 4/8 Live KTs Running Bad
i would think that he would have raised AK or KQ pf, so that just leaves an unlikely KJ or small set (would he raise 66-77 pf?) that you could be behind to.
i would have to guess that hes drawing and this was a free card play. b/f turn, bet blank river. |

Re: 4/8 Live KTs Running Bad
I 3-bet the flop. It's unlikely that he's going to try for a free card again, so if he caps it check and call the turn and river. If he just calls the flop 3-bet lead out on any non-club turn.

Re: 4/8 Live KTs Running Bad
1) I'm not real crazy about limping in early MP w/KTs, but whatever.
2) Why are you so scared of a LAG's raise on this draw-heavy flop? Since it's HU, I'm either three-betting right there, or I'm donking the turn on a safe card, and possibly calling down a raise depending on the board and my read of the guy. |

Re: 4/8 Live KTs Running Bad
So I'm retarded. I c/f the turn. I knew I should at least get to showdown one way or another, but because I was running bad, it definitely affected my thinking.
Thanks guys. Just wanted to make sure I should have gone to showdown. |

Re: 4/8 Live KTs Running Bad
Since he is only semi-aggressive and doesn't sound like a crazy ass who is raising any pair in this spot, I would just check/call down.
The pot is HU and I don't like making a play like bet/fold the turn or river since he may be capable of pushing us off a better hand. Also, I don't like a bet/call since he will likely get that much value out of us with a better hand... Haupt_234 |

Indeed, I don't like checking the turn so that he can possibly draw to a free card to beat us. |
