Default 3rds > 2nds > 1sts

Over my last 1.1k SNG's I have an %ITM of 40.5% but an ROI of just around 10%. I have 89 1st, 146 2nd, and 187 3rds. This could just be negative variance inside the money, but I was wondering if you lads could suggest some ways to improve my ITM performance? I think I'm being overly aggressive once ITM. FWIW I have 99 4ths and 210 5ths. I use PT and all that so if theres more info you need, holla.

There is no one-line piece of advice that is magically going to improve your ITM play. There is no way for us to even know what your leaks are if you don't post hands or anything about your play. Plus, we don't know what buyin this is. I know it probably isn't, but if it were the 109s or 215s, then your ROI is pretty amazing.

I doubt you're being too aggressive unless you're trying to see flops and then move your opponents off hands regularly. If you can peg your opponent, you have more than 10BB and you know its a good situation to bluff its fine but for the most part just stick to ICM and you'll be fine pushing. Most of the time when you are ITM you'll have less than 10BB so it shouldn't be too complicated. If you're doing this already then its just negative variance. Review your play, fix leaks and relax...it will turn around.

How much does the bubble play effect you finish distribution ITM?

If you're being too passive on the bubble doesn't it reflect to your finishes ITM?

Right. These were mostly 33's and 55's, although I did dabble in some 109's and 215's, not to mention the sparse 530. Although I don't actively calculate ICM, I'm aware of it and always try and use fold equity to my advantage, etc. If I'm under 10 bb's I'm just push botting. This is how I usually go out third:

Level 6, 300/600 blinds.

Hero (4500)
BB (5400)
Button (10100)

If button folds, I'll smush the pot basically 100% of the time. If I'm the button in that situation, with the chip leader in the SB, I'm pushing Ax, Kx, QJ, QT, Q9s, JT, JTs, T9s and better. If the chip leader is in the BB, I'm a little more hesitant. Standard ideology eh?

Over my last 700 I ahve noticed that 3 handed I open push every Ax. I seem to run into bigger aces a majority of the times. I am assuming that it is bad variance, but just wanted to amke sure you are open pushing all aces too.
