b/c according to Gigabet's theory of stack sizes, this is a spot where isolating the short stack all in w/ any sort of reasonable holding would not take me down a block, but winning the 6kish in the pot will add enough to my stack to take me out of the push/fold mode, especially since the blinds are about to increase to 8/1600. linky

quoting gigabet in his most recent post on said subject that i find to be quite relevant to this hand:

[ QUOTE ]
In situations where there are a couple big stacks on your left and a couple short stacks on your right, the best way to play is just isolate the two shorties whenever you have anything reasonable, and they are pushing on the blinds of one of the larger stacks on your left. That accomplishes two things, it starves the two larger stacks and it keeps those larger stacks from getting even bigger by busting the allin short stacks.

If you happen to double a short stack that is positioned on your right while making an isolation play, it won't matter, by doubling him, you have slightly improved your position. Once that stack doubles, it probably won't be a short stack, so you have essentially taken a short stack off of your right side.

this whole gigabet dilemma is way over my head. It makes no sense to me at all.

this isnt reasonable though. K5s is not reasonable. A8 is reasonable, 44 is reasonable. This is just insanity, you can afford to lose those chips at all. That 5k is the difference between having FE and not having FE on a resteal when the blinds go up.

I agree w/ MLG, but if he was doing it w/ A8s or 44, it wouldn't really big gigabets thing, those would be +cEV moves..

Also don't forget the potential FE you have over MP3. He's left 75 behind. Perhaps the pot odds aren't good enough for him to call the rest of his stack.

according to Gig, and I don't necessarily support the gigabet dilemma en masse, Q3o is enough of a hand to do this with.
