Draw hand line check

5/10 4 handed game, effective stacks 1000. Villain is a decent aggessive player who has been playing faster than normally but doesnt normally get too out of line.
Folded to me in the SB and I decide to complete with 6s8s. villain makes it 40 to go and I call. Flop 8c9s9c. I lead for 50 and he makes it 140 to go, I call. Turn is 5s (pot 360) giving me a gutshot + flush draw. I check, villain bets makes it 200 and I CR AI..

I have used this kind of line pretty much recently figuring that it maximises my FE as well as gets money in the pot. I do this with 9x and occasionally with a boat as well. How do you feel?
