Too aggressive? Any spots you play differently? Note: First hand was a misclick. Meant to raise more. |

Re: Animated HH: Aggressive Bubble
curious about the A2s push early on. do you always do that in that spot? i felt like you were about one spot too far from the button for that play.

Re: Animated HH: Aggressive Bubble
That's certainly a spot I wasn't sure about. But I felt the calling ranges were really really tight. I should probably do the math on it.

Re: Animated HH: Aggressive Bubble
looking at the rest of the hands (and the ridiculous amount of walks you got), it seems like a decent push, but you definitely couldnt have known how tight they were at that point, that's why i think it was iffy.

Re: Animated HH: Aggressive Bubble
I notice that all of your preflop raises are pushes. Is this standard? Putting your life at risk with 10,8o and 84s early on seems a bit risky? Or is this the aggresiveness you need to get these guys to lay it down.
I use a 3bb raise normally (at the $6.50 and $16s) and then have to do some post flop play. Is the selectively timed push the way to go at these levels instead of a 3bb raise? |

Re: Animated HH: Aggressive Bubble
if you have 10bb or less, the only raise you should make is a push. if all the people behind you have stacks of 10bb or less, the only raise you should make is a push. with stacks slightly larger than that, it's more situational. you should only be making the 3x raise when you have enough chips to still make postflop decisons,
look through his hands again and consider the # of bb he has in the hands. if he had made a smaller raise in any of those spots, what is the benefit? |

Re: Animated HH: Aggressive Bubble
Actually, I looked back at the hand...
Guy to my left is just straight-up solid. The player behind him is short, but I figured their range to be small enough to justify this, and they can't kill me. BB is also super solid. SB is 'blah'. This is really a read-dependent push, and it's tough for me to describe why I do it. I think this is +EV here given the ranges I'm looking at (though maybe when I get up tomorrow I'll do the math on it). But the reason I do it is because in these turbos, I find it effective to get aggressive earlier than everyone else. The way the stacks are arranged... I felt that this was solid. |

Re: Animated HH: Aggressive Bubble
Yeah, these pushes are pretty standard against this type of player. I've played with him before and I know his calling range is super tight.

Re: Animated HH: Aggressive Bubble
As above, the A2s was about even so the push is questionable but not bad. Apart from that everything up to HU was absolutely spot on. Kudos on the nice play. Only thing I'd have done differently was call the all in with the 33 HU. Folding is not an awful leak though.

Re: Animated HH: Aggressive Bubble
KJs in the SB level 2, all folds to you. I open for 3xBB here. Anyone else do this?
