What do you need to call this resteal?
Villain seems reasonable. I've not seen him rr pre-flop before.

Re: What do you need to call this resteal?
Weird, this reraise is laying you fantastic odds currently at over 4:1, meaning you can almost call with anything you raise with. The problem is that any reasonable villian is probably going to shove just about any flop. In other words, this feels like a bet that really wants action.
I'm a donkey, anything I raised with I'm calling and if I flop a pair I'm calling the inevitable push. As far as pushing, I'm gonna say 99+, AQ+ and be a tightie. This just feels like a big hand to me. |

Re: What do you need to call this resteal?
This isn't a resteal, it seems to be a strong hand (he's giving you infinite odds to call). I think posting a range is pointless as you should be calling with any two because of the pot odds.
If Villain hasn't gotten out of line yet I would give him credit for AK JJ+. |

this guy is mindonkreraising with QQ+, AK. If was trying to resteal, he'd make a bigger RR,

Re: What do you need to call this resteal?
I call this with any 2. Mainly to crack his AA with 24 when the flop comes 44K, and for meta-game purposes as well. Leak maybe?

Re: What do you need to call this resteal?
Why are so many of you focusing on how you're getting 4:1 right now? That's basically meaningless. Most people's range here is AA/KK and very little else. Against that range calling pf is absolutely awful with virtually everything. I probably push some good hands like QQ-99 and AK, but that's just because I suck at folding. AA/KK I call and instacall any flop because very occasionally this is a weak-tight terrible "find out where I'm at" raise.
Colombo, if you think he has AA, calling with any two is atrocious. Steve |
