CLosing in on the dnner break of day 1A. I was an observer in this hand but we got into a debate at the end.
MP+2 is young kid who qualified on line through PStars. Has shown to be very patient and TAGGY - stack of about 14k. Villain of this hand is a LAG who had played a bunch of hands but hadnt showed any down that i can recall - stack right around the 12k mark. Blinds are at level 3 (100/200) - folds to PSTars kid who opens for 600, he gets two callers including villain obviously. flop is 335 rb. Kid opens for 1500 and villain calls. Turn is a 2 completing the rainbow. Kid bets another 1500 and villain raises to 3000 and gets called. River is the 4 - Kid checks and villain makes it 5k Kid goes into the tank and then ultimately and reluctantly calls - So we got into a debate after this hand on ranges these guys could be on relative to the play of the hand. Love your thoughts on this as one of them i think had a very distorted view of what hands he was perceived to be on |

Tag has a PP, TT or so not much more.
Lag has 22-JJ, a2-a5, 32s-36s,56s, 46s. or nothing like 57s Tag is probably way behind. |

Live hands simply cannot be reduced down like this.
But guessing: TAG has TT+. LAG has any two. |

If I am the kid, I have seen everything that LAG has done postflop all day, or at least as long as we have been at the table, and I know how I have played postflop and what LAG will think of me and interpret my play up to the question of whether to call on the river.
In other words, "you had to be there" or this is just a relatively meaningless guessing game. |

AA doesn't check the river KK,QQ doesn't slow down on the turn JJ shouldn't slow down on the turn, but probably doesn't juice the pot (bet small) if it's worried about an overpair. LAG does not have any two to miniraise the turn. Most likely he has a hand or a hand with a draw. |
