Default VIP Sports

Does anyone know why VIP Sports has lines that appear to be way off (beneficial to the bettor)? How do they make money doing this? Does anyone have an account there? Are they reliable? They are on SBR, so I would assume they are legit. Does anyone recommend them?

For example, one one game tonight, everybody else has an underdog at 140-160, but VIP has them at +170. There are a couple of lines like this every night it seems.

I don't have a currently active account at VIP, but I've played through them many times. Definitely very reliable. I've never seen the kind of price discrepancies you cite, except for occasional mistakes. Are you sure you're reading the line right?

They are extremely reliable, but I generally haven't noticed that many crazy lines from them...they don't have overnight lines.

if you win too much money from them or scalp their bad lines hard against another book, they will eventually close your account and send your money back to neteller. get em while it's good, but don't expect it to last forever, that's all.

this is what I was getting at. what would you consider "scalping their bad lines hard"? What can I get away with? Thanks.

i think you might be looking at the lines for VIP posted at sbrlines.com, if that is the case, they aren't updating very quickly there.

i checked the lines, went to VIP to bet, only to be disappointed.

right now on the SF/Gonzaga CBB money line, they are at +425. The other SF lines are in the 320-350 area. I notice a couple of these high scalps every night (not that you'd want to scalp this one, of course).

VIP is in business to beat the suckers. Suckers like favorites, and don't shop for prices. If you're like that, you'll be welcome at VIP.

If you're not like that, and you bet more than trivial amounts, be prepared to get barred, quickly.

(This is not a knock on VIP. A good friend of mine has worked there for a long, long time. You're money is completely safe, even if they decide they don't want you as a customer.)
