fold the flop, you aren't beating any hand capable of checkraising.
I tend to also fold preflop to a relatively EP raiser with a pair this small. |

[/ QUOTE ] You are calling off 8% of your stack for an 8.5:1 shot at flopping a set, and villain needs to hit at least top pair/overpair to get stacked. Bear in mind set value for smaller pairs goes way down as the tourney goes along. You don't get paid off nearly as much later in the tourney and the proportion of your stack you need to call preflop to hit that 8.5:1 shot goes way up. |

He's already getting pretty decent odds though. He got 4 to 1 odds preflop basically. I understand that you must be very careful about playing small pairs for set value late in a tourney but here I think it's a cheap way to try.
