Default 25/50 live. the guy shows a card and now i\'m really confused.

25/50 live. very loose and passive table.
i have Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in the small blind. 3 players limp and i call. the flop is Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. i check, the big blind bets, 1 limper calls, and i call. the turn is Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. i check, big blind bets and the other player folds. the big blind doesn't have many chips left unless i can't see some of them behind is arms because he is leaning over the table. so i ask how many he has left figuring if he only has about one bet left i should just raise right here in case he is drawing. well he leans back and confirms he only has about one bet left and then he decides to flip the Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] face up on the table. wow, now what? i can only beat Q 3 or Q 4. however, he is in the big blind and could easily have one of those 2 hands or also a 5 - 9 kicker which would give me about 50% chance to split the pot. so after thinking for quite awhile, i decide to call. the river is a 4 and he bets instantly. well, now i can't beat anything at all unless he has a 3 kicker so i muck. he shows his Q 4 for a river full house.

how should i have played this? after the hand, i was thinking that considering he was also in the blind and probably had a bad kicker also, that maybe i should have showed him my queen and then raised. maybe he folds Q 3 through Q 9. any thoughts?

If he shows you all the time he has a Q you should fold...

But he doesn't he shows you when he wants you to fold most likely...

But your so weak... But you must call turn to try and split.

you're getting 6-2 with 29% equity. you dont want him checking behind on the river with hands that you beat -- which he should -- so just put him all in now. you probably have almost no fold equity but just in case...

Board: Qd Td 2s Qc
Dead:

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 29.7727 % 07.53% 22.25% { Qs5s }
Hand 2: 70.2273 % 47.98% 22.25% { AQs, KQs, Q2s+, AQo, KQo, Q2o+ }
