Old man trouble
I’m new at the table so no reads but the BB looks to be about 150 years old.
One limp, I raise AQo, BB and limper call. Flop: 8 5 5 BB bets, limper folds, I call Turn: 8 BB looks at me and checks, I check. River: Q BB checks, I bet, he raises, I fold. Who: 1. Folds the flop and 2. Plays the river differently? |

Re: Old man trouble
looks about right. he either has a pocket pair and will surely pay off or he has an 8 (or quads). these guys aren't very imaginative, you folded the worst hand.

[/ QUOTE ] Also, they will usually c/r turn with trips like 90% of the time so taking one off for your 6 outer is ok... But I wouldn't mind folding to an angry old guy. [see fastplay old guy] b/f river is standard. The real question is how do these old guys afford to play mid stakes when they are so passive and crap?? JT |

I was told by a couple people later that night that the old guy plays poker all the time and pretty much always drops 2k-3k. Now I feel even more poor than usual. |
