Default 5/10 -- Getting popped on the turn and I\'m left with a river decision

A Party 5/10 game. I'm very new to the table, and I didn't have my HUD loaded yet because I was on the phone.

I open A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in MP, folded to blinds who both call.

Flop Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)

Checked to me, I bet, SB folds, BB calls.

Turn 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)

Checked to me, I bet, BB raises, I call.

River Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

BB bets, I call reluctantly.

My line was to fold river UI but I thought I may catch him on a busted draw enough times? The second queen solidified this thought for me a bit probability wise.

I don't know, but for me the decision in these hands is typically made on the turn and not the river.

I'm not a big fan of this. Maybe if the pot was bigger, but most players are going to bluff the river anyway. The only people that don't on occasion are generally TAGs. I think you need a read to call the turn here.

Like Leader said, the pot is small, villain waited till the turn to raise, I let this go on the turn.

As played, I think you have to call the river.

I dont like your idea of folding the river unimproved with no read. You have the the nut second pair in a HU pot on the turn and youve just been checkraised on a two flush draw board, with a million straight draws possible. With no read, I am showing this hand down every time, and feeling good about it.

I dont know if you have much experience in the Party 5-10 game, but you just have to trust me when I say that folding this big of a hand in this spot in the party 5-10 game is giving up too much value.

I only have about 10K in the party 5/10 game and it was some months ago. You could well be right here. My style is to be pretty tight in these spots against unknowns. In any case, I make the choice on the turn.

I don't like your thinking because often if players are aggressive enough to c/r a draw on the turn they are following through on the river. So I think calling the turn to "catch him on a busted draw" is not a good plan.

FWIW in this spot I usually call down from the turn c/r, ESPECIALLY when the board is this draw-heavy.

I tend to agree with a call down in this spot. Board is draw-heavy.

I'm going to disagree and say that without a read or some crazy metagame going ons, if you bet this turn and are checkraised, it's best to fold rightaway.
