With WM gone, I remembered another old friend of O8. I did a
search and found some of his posts. What are the opinions of
the regulars about his advice? He claims to co-author or at least
heavily contribute to columns/books. Who is he and should I even
care? He seems to have a following whatever that means.

Wow, I hadn't thought about him for a while. I didn't play much O8 back then, but his advice seemed pretty spot-on at times. It was hard to separate fact from fiction with him though (i.e. wins/losses, higher limit experience, etc.)

And mental stability was a whole other issue altogether.

He's a bit of an assclown. See this post on AA for example to see how badly he's missed the boat. It contains the highest ratio of (wrong information)/(post length) to be found in this forum, which is quite a feat considering it weighs in at 592 words.

He does get a few things right in other threads but I don't think you're losing any BB/100 by skipping his advice.

I eventually quit reading him b/c it was too much of a pain to wade through his nonsensical tirades to find that nugget of decent advice.

You mean, you don't have to right to post advice on the Internet? I could post a lot more advice.

It is sad that ATE isn't here to see this post. He'd really enjoy being the subject of another thread.

I watched him lose the last ~$30 from his party poker account at a PLO$100 table the other day. It was quite amusing.

He was playing NLO8 on PokerStars earlier this week... first time I've ever seen him play.
