Default QQ debacle (50$NL)

What do you think of this play? Both opponents are running at about 50/20/1.5 but sample size of about 50-100 hands. I thought about reraising preflop but my goal was to smooth call and check raise the flop, which I did, but I'm not sure if I should have. Any critique would be great.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

UTG ($32.25)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $0.25.

Hero checks, MP bets $4, Button raises to $18.41, Hero calls $94.25 (All-In), MP calls $86.60 (All-In), Button folds.

River: ($223.26) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, 2 all-in)

Final Pot: $223.26

Results in white below:
Hero has Qh Qc (two pair, queens and twos).
MP has 4c 4s (full house, fours full of twos).
Outcome: MP wins $219.61. Hero wins $3.65.

This is my first post here so I wasn't sure of the format and whether or not I should post results right away, just looking for clues on how to play this hand a little better, or if I should get away from it or something.

take out the results....(read the FAQ at the top)

I see many ways to play this hand. Your line is fine if you think the villians will goto the felt with a worse hand than yours. If they won't, your line sucks.

This is exactly why you shouldn't slowplay pf with a big pair. If you had reraised you would have pushed MP out of the hand. Against most villians I don't like getting it all in on the flop with only an overpair.

The MP was a pfr, the button reraised, you call and MP calls. You check the flop, mp min bets, the button 3/4s it and you push. You're not going to get a call from anyone you beat here.

...and I don't post the results, it skews the responses you get and we're not looking at a specific hands results, we're interested in whether you misplayed it based on the information you had at the time.

Who is going to call this push unless they beat you?

With 200BB I don't like getting this all in on the flop after that action preflop.

Your flop action folds out all hands that you beat. If your thinking is to get QQ all in on the flop you must create a bigger pot preflop.

Hellmouth, a bunch of overpairs lower than Q's call his all in, just to let you know.

Having said that, I still dont like the push here.

You calling brought MP in and gave him better odds to get a set. Although it's only 3.4:1 and set odds are 7.5:1, people think those odds are still great. Besides, the hand is pretty disguised, no one really expects 44. I would probably raise big here and hope to take the pot pre-flop. If Button pushes, then I may be willing to fold depending on the amount and if I believe he has an overpair, not just AK. If he calls, then I guess if I see a flop like just like that, I'm pushing. I just hope he doesn't have KK/AA in this situation, and I'm willing to take the risk that he doesn't have it.

Thanks for the input, and also, button had TT he claimed, so I was losing even if I push out MP and get only called by button, just less, heh. Was a great hand all around
