Default 5/10 Donkish, or fine?

MP makes it 35, i have TT99ds on the button and make it 70. SB calls, and MP makes it 230 straight. Opponent is pretty straight forward and has ~600 left, he is screaming aces. I call and SB folds. Flop is 864 rainbow giving me 2 running flush draws. He essentially pushes(20 behind), I push.

Thoughts? I was pretty confident i had 8 outs, not to mention runners.

If you were deeper stacked, I would like minreraise here to isolate yourself against probable aces. But you are way too shallow to make this move. Flat call and take a flop.

I don't think I've ever done this, but the rest of the hand plays itself.

You don't like this play?

Whenever I have position and a pretty good starting hand I always like to juice the pot, but maybe it's a leak.

preflop i would never repop. flop you have roughly 9 outs twice so play accordingly.

I think the issue is that you/your opponent doesn't have enough money if he repots it. As you can see, you had to call preflop when ~33% of his money was in the pot. When playing against aces*, it looks like most people on this board only want 15% (and definitely no more than 20% of their stack committed preflop). This is because PLO is a post-flop game and after the flop usually you'll be either a larger favorite or underdog.

Your hand plays very well (coinflip) vs a crappy AAxy, and not too bad vs a better AAxy combo. So, if you are a breakeven or losing PLO player, go ahead and repot it preflop, in all likelihood you'll have a coinflip.

But if you are a winning player (like most on this board), just call his first bet. You'll see the flop, and if the villain is really a push-w/-any-AA-hand-on-any-flop type of player, then you'll win more and lose less. Your results will be less depenedent on the randomness of the flop cards.

*Probably a good, general rule of thumb.

It would be better if you were each playing 1100.

I would like it a lot more with like 1500 or so, but yeah. TT99ds is a v good hand to do it though if you're repopping frequently, which is what I tend to do.

If the stacks were deeper, how would a min-reraise isolate? Most times at lower levels, whenever I see a min-reraise it has anything from very little to no effect. Players just call regardless - I doubt it would be much different at 5/10, and players will be more inclined to call there - assuming they are better - with deep stacks due to implied odds.

I would have thought better to repop at least 3x and probably with a hand like this, the pot, if you are going to reraise.
