Default WPEX is worth +7PTBB/100 vs. Party at 100NL and below.

This isn’t Spam. I have been on 2+2 more than a year and have never posted about WPEX, just making an observation for fellow SSNLers.

At Party 100NL 6max the rake is about .09 per hand (roughly .07 for TAGs to .11 for LAGs).

That works out to 4.5PTBB/100.

If you play 1000 hands at 100NL and your win rate is 4.5PTBB/100, you will win $90.

On Party your rake will be approximately $90.

So your net is ZERO.

But on WPEX if you win 4.5PTBB/100, you will win $90, plus the $90 in rake, for a total of $180.

So it’s $180 at WPEX vs. ZERO at Party.

For anyone who thinks WPEX is a rock garden or a tough site to play, please go watch a table, they aren’t much better, if at all then at Party (5max and 6max).

For stakes $10NL-$50NL, I don’t think there is any difference at all. Maybe a little more aggressive, but the VPIP’s and open limping at NL 5max is just as bad as Party.

Don’t take my word for the numbers above, check out your own PT DB and verify or adjust the numbers for your situation.

To determine your PTBB for rake, divide your total rake by twice the big blind, then divide by 1% of the total hands.

For example, if you play 100NL and your rake for 1000 hands is $80. You divide 80 by 2 = 40, then divide 40 by 10 = 4PTBB.

Once you get to $200NL the quality of players on WPEX vs. Party, combined with the table selection makes Party a better choice for many players, especially if you have unmentionable. But playing $100NL and below at Party vs. WPEX is suicide in terms of your win rate.

Interesting. I take you have played there so how are the games? Full of multitabling nits?

I can't speak for full ring, but for the 5max tables, absolutely not.

Stats like 54/3/1, 38/5/1 are common and they play horrible.

I expected much tougher play and so far haven't seen it, but I admit I have been playing 50NL more than 100NL.

50NL and below there is very little difference vs. Party. 100NL is slightly tougher, but no where near the difference to compensate for Party rake.

Check out PokerSiteScout for exact numbers.

I don't pay much attention to the number of players, all I care about is being able to find a decent table, which I can almost all the time.

In the evenings it is no trouble finding three, and no, it is not the same 4 opps on all three tables.

Someone 6 tabling Party with unmentionable will be better off at Party during slower times, but not all the time.

Does not compute.

You miss your daily fix of Jerry Springer today?

If you think it is a scam, in your best all caps Jerry Springeresqe, please explain how a player who wins 4.5PTBB/100 on Party, and is paying 4.5PTBB/100 in rake isn't coming up zero?

I stated in my OP, don't trust my numbers, check your own PT DB and verify or adjust for yourself.

How is that trying to scam anyone?

I have also stated there a several scenarios where Party would still be better than WPEX. But for the majority of scenarios at 100NL and below, WPEX > Party.
