Default Flights to Vegas dropping big

Well, me and my buddy booked our flights a couple of days ago , and now I see round trip flights for as much as a 50% discount today for the Labor Day weekend. Might be an opportunity to get out to Vegas cheap if you don't mind the added inconvenience/possible danger.

Something tells me the southwest flight from Houston to Vegas isn't on a list of things to blow up.

Wow, I was just going to post if anybody noticed flights prices to Vegas dropping. Gas prices are suppose to be going down because of a slowdown on airline fuel usage (at least that is what the TV said).

I just read that in the UK, they will not even let you on the plane with an Ipod or Cell phone. That is tighter than a gray-haired $3/$6 rockgarden game.

Cheap flights for us poker playing degerates....nobody talks about the good things that terrorism offers (just kidding, I have no poker OR humor skills and I do realize terrorism is a very bad thing).

I just flew from Vegas to New York last night, and we couldn't carry any liquids on the plane whatsoever. They even took my chapstick away.... bad beat.

This looks highly suspicious. Someone call Homeland Security.

Yeah, but that's not going to stop them from strip searching every passenger. I hate bureaucrats. One guy caught with some kind of bomb-like thing in his shoe (which probably wouldn't have worked) and now we all have to have our shoes x-rayed. A bunch of dorky Brits think they can blow up planes with some fertilizer and now we can't take a Diet Coke on the plane with us.

Personally, I would rather just live with the danger rather than go through all the hassle to be "safe". A bad beat is going to be when they blow up a subway or a ferry boat where there is zero security because everyone is paying so much attention to air travel.

I can hear Letterman now, "In recent news TSA officials have proclaimed that in order to heighten security, Chap Stick will no longer be permitted on commercial aircraft. Ted Kennedy, in the meantime, will continue to be allowed on board."

Well, I respect your opinion, but I think I'm willing to go through a little extra hassle at the security checkpoint if it reduces the risk of another September 11 happening. Ok, so I can't take my Starbucks on the plane with me now, big deal. I'll live.
