I think, only you can answer that. It all depends on how this guy plays against you.

Did you consider check raising the flop? I think it has some merit here as you might het him out on the turn, especially if a heart comes and he doesnt have one.

I don't really like this, as villain I would often 3 bet for a free showdown with a lot of hands that can't beat an ace.
