Chuck Norris????

I just saw this while browsing YTMND Chuck Norris.

This, combined with the hundreds of Chuck Norris YTMND's on the site has made me wonder what is so damn special about this guy. Have I missed something? As far as I know, he was the star of a crappy tv show and some crappy movies, and that is it. Somebody enlighten me please.

A Handicap parking sign does not signify that this spot is for handicapped people. It is actually in fact a warning, that the spot belongs to Chuck Norris and that you will be handicapped if you park there.

Did Conan start all this Chuck Norris talk?... or was it extremely popular before he started doing the nightly scenes from the show?

Yeah, I think it all started with Conan, although you could probably trace its origins back to the Bill Brasky sketches on SNL a while back, and I'm sure that they had origins of their own.

I really can't stand the whole Chuck Norris thing, but that was pretty well done, and they at least came up with a few original ones which were mildly funny.
