Hand 1: I borrowed a page from TWP's post the other day wrt 4-betting light.
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) CO ($1507) Button ($985) Hero ($1016.75) BB ($1004.50) UTG ($362.75) UTG+1 ($434.75) MP1 ($931.50) MP2 ($380.25) MP3 ($1125.75) Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $5. <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 raises to $20</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to $70</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero (poster) raises to $215</font>... Hand 2: Similar scenario but now it's HU vs another solid, aggressive Button (different table). Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) MP3 ($1049.66) Hero ($1270.75) Button ($1093) SB ($195) BB ($1227.50) UTG ($223.64) UTG+1 ($984.11) UTG+2 ($1883) MP1 ($1623.60) MP2 ($1258.42) Preflop: Hero is CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. UTG (poster) checks, <font color="#666666">5 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $40</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to $115</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, UTG folds, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $330</font>.. Hand 3: This one really had me stumped on the river. Is he block-betting, or betting into me with a flush/straight? Opponent is solid from what I've seen so far. Can I raise this river? 1 and 2 are fine, 3 is close... But, I say you can find a small value raise there.

[ QUOTE ] But, I say you can find a small value raise there. [/ QUOTE ] Range? [/ QUOTE ] ..at the time, I was looking at either a weirdly played flush (small?), a set that was slowplayed on the flop and then decided to wait to fill up once the flush got there, or a straight (35s). I didn't think he'd have anything but one of those hands. Of those, I'm behind most, and I'm not sure how much value I can get out of a smaller set, if there is one. Kirk |

1) Ballsy - hope you had a good read.
2) Do it quite often. 3) May be blocking bet, but not much else is paying you off here that I can see, other then slowplayed set of course. |
