Default Why are the WCOOP events in the afternoon?

Does Pokerstars not like money all of a sudden? Certainly you would ensure a bigger turnout for weekday events with an evening start.

I mean, i understand there being some middle ground, but with this schedule Europe gets primetime slots like 8pm and 9pm whereas the entire United States is busy working away.

actually i just remembered i'm going to be in school, plus most of the events i want to play are on the weekends anyway, so i'm officially not pissed anymore

but you guys still should be

also the problem with this is that all the middle aged businessmen who suck at poker won't be home to play terribly in these tournaments, which is a downer.

If they started at 11 PM in Europe, the European players would be up all night. Also, there are a lot of professional players in these who don't mind a 3 PM start.

I don't mind the timing of the weekend events, but I think that the weekday events should start at 430-5PM EST. It makes it a little easier on the US players, and the Europeans are gonna play it regardless. Jurullo?

We're talking about one market being unable to play it versus the other. Obviously pokerstars feels as though its European players are more important to cater to for this event than their American counterparts, since they are slotting the events at a time when more Europeans have a better chance of being able to play.

A ton of American players will not be able to play these weekday events, and I think it's a shame because there seem to be more American players on the site than Euros.
