Day 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d?
Lots of talk this year and last about which starting day is the best. Does it really matter in a two week tourney? What is the breakdown for FT players and their start day?

Re: Day 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d?
1A - Doug Kim ($32,800)
1B - Eric Friberg ($77,675), Allen Cunningham ($77,625), Paul Wasicka ($38,200), Rhett Butler ($34,175), Dan Nassif ($25,250) 1C - None 1D - Jamie Gold ($100,125), Michael Binger ($72,725), Richard Lee ($17,775) You know what that means? Nothing. |

Re: Day 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d?
I agree that the FT breakdown almost certainly means nothing. On the other hand, there are a few things going for day 1B:
Day 1B players can show up a day early to get settled in, see how things are going with the play on day 1A, play day 1B, have 2 days off to rest, play day 2A, have two more days off, and then proceed with the full field on day 3. On the other hand, day 1A is first, so players have no opportunity to spend time seeing how things are playing out before they play, while day 1C & 1D players get only one day off between day 2 and day 3 which, in an endurance test like this, could make at least a marginal difference. Maybe it's just me, but the 1B schedule seems like the best one (though I still believe that any "advantage" of playing 1B is nowhere near what looking solely at the FT breakdown might suggest). |

Re: Day 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d?
I would agree and say that having 2 days off between day 1c and 2B was much better than one day off between 2b and day3.
I think there is probably a real advantage to having 2 days off between 2 and 3. |
