Set + 4 to a straight
Haven't noticed much on MP3, but I have numbers on him of 16/8/1.8 over 180 hands. When he coldcalled, I put him on a smaller pair or a medium ace. I've noticed myself getting weaker so I bet the river, but I can't fold my set now with too many 2 pair possiblities, right?

Re: Set + 4 to a straight
I think you should check-call here. I doubt that your opponent is going to bluff-raise this river, but you have too much hand not to show down. Checking the river may also induce a bluff or a "value bet" from a pair or two pair.

Re: Set + 4 to a straight
i play it the same, you might be able to fold to the river raise, but i would probably call it
i do not like check/calling here because i think you will miss a lot of value from 1 and 2 pair hands that will be scared of this board and check behind and it dosent really seem like villain would have a completely missed draw here, so i dont think there is much value to inducing a bluff |
